Who: You and other Northern High School Students

What: A club at Northern High School that works with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro to help our community build homes.

When: Meetings once a month after school, fourth Tuesday, and one work Saturday a month on a Habitat for Humanity site.

Why: To help our community and it is a great way to earn those volunteer hours for your resume and college applications!

How to Join: Come to the first meeting on Tuesday, Sept 25th, at 3:50 in Ms. Corry’s room, Environmental Science.

Q:  Do I have to be 16 to join this club? 

A:  No!!!!!!!!  We have 21 activities planned for this year, and only 4 of them require students to be 16 or older.

Q:  Do I have to be 16 to work on a Habitat Work Day?

A:  Usually, yes.  However, sometimes we have activities like painting, landscaping, etc that 14 and above can participate in.

Q:  Do I have to come to all of the meetings every month to join?

A: No!!!!!!!  This is the kind of club where you come to the first meeting of the semester – Sept and January- and then sign up for the activities you want to participate in.  If you can attend the meetings, you should because we have new activities that come up all the time, and we usually do some form of Habitat service at the meeting also.
