TIPS  FOR  ACCELERATED READER  (AR)  BOOKS

To improve the score in each book (comprehension), it is important to keep in mind the following suggestions:

• Look through the book together, without reading it, one time.
• Read the book to your child.
• Read it again to your child.

If you follow this strategy, you and your child will have reviewed the story three times. Ask your child questions about what is happening in the book as you look at it the first time, and each time after you read it. This should help your child improve their comprehension, their AR test scores, and help them gain points for the AR program rewards!
