Rationale

The level One French course is designed to introduce students to the French language and culture across the world.  Students will learn to read, write and speak a basic level of French in several common social settings and situations.

Materials

Students will be assigned a textbook to be returned in good condition at the end of the course or be charged the replacement cost.  Students will need to have their textbook in class everyday.  They will also need to bring a notebook, pen and pencil to class everyday.  Students should also have basic supplies such as:  glue sticks, colored pencils, markers, tape, etc.  Students who bring in a blank CD can have French practice audio tracks recorded as a learning aide.
