Answers
1)  Q Are parents allowed to eat with your child?
A
Parents are welcome to eat with their child after the first three weeks of school. Let us know that morning if you want a school lunch ordered for you. Please only let your child have ice cream on Fridays, which is the kindergarten grade-level specified day for ice cream.
2)  Q What time does our class eat lunch?
A
We leave the room at 10:25. Lunch is from 10:30 until 11:00.
3)  Q Can parents go on field trips?
A
You can let your teacher know you would like to help chaperone a field trip. Only 1 or 2 parents are needed especially if there is a student teacher. A criminal record check would need to be completed at the beginning of the school year.
4)  Q Can parents help in the classroom?
A
Please let your teacher know you are available to help.
5)  Q Do we celebrate birthdays at school?
A
Because of lack of staff and lack of time, we do not celebrate birthdays in the cafeteria. Some teachers allow this at the end of a school day. Please feel free to discuss this with your child's teacher.
6)  Q What web sites can we use at home to practice our kindergarten skills?
A
Go to our Kindergarten Links page to find some great web sites.
