This is my fourth year at Eastern Middle. I have met some wonderful teachers and staff here, and I appreciate the commitment to children that I have seen of many of my colleagues. I began teaching in 1984...along the way I have taught grades 3-12. Before coming to Eastern I taught at Jamestown Middle.OK... I was born in Durham, and so I make no apologies for being a true-blue Duke baskeball fan. (After all, they don't really have a football team, do they?) I have been married to the same wonderfully patient woman, Debbie, for 37 years. She also works for Guilford County Schools. She is the finest person I have ever met in my life!
Debbie and I have 4 grown daughters and six amazing grandchildren. My wife and I are Nana and Papa.

I enjoying traveling and exploring new cultures. I love music and I play the piano. I enjoy reading southern fiction; two of my favorite southern authors are Clyde Edgerton and Flannery O'Connor.
I confess to being rather dim-witted when it comes to mechanical things. Lengthy instruction manuals have been known to make me cry. I enjoy a good joke, my wife's homemade potato salad, "Everybody Loves Raymond" reruns, and "The Big Bang Theory."
One often misunderstood fact about me: I am not as mean as I look!
