Bluford uses the Accelerated Reader program as one way to help develop a life-long love of reading. With this program students are able to take quizzes on books they have read and earn points. Each nine weeks students who earn the designated point total for that time frame are recognized during the awards ceremony. The top 10 readers or students with the most points for each grade level are invited to the end-of-year AR celebration, the READ-IN. Students may take AR quizzes before school, during the school day and after school, providing time permits. They may take AR quizzes in the media center and/or classrooms. Students are not able to take AR quizzes from home. Below you will find a link to the AR Book Finder.
