The following are announcements for the week of May 19th, 2013

Last week, you recieved an important letter reminding you that students are not permitted to be on school property after hours or on weekends. Thank you for working with our school and the Greensboro Police Department to keep our property safe for our students and staff.

 
Our Fifth grade students will be taking their science EOG's online this week.
5/20 Small groups-

5/22 Cash
5/23 Harris
5/24 Rothenberg

Third, Fourth and Fifth graders will take paper/pencil Reading EOG's on Wednesday, May 29th, and Math on Thursday May 30th. We are in need of proctoros for May 29th and 30th. If you are available on either or both dates, please contact Adriana Kirkman, counselor so that we can schedule training.

Success at Schools clubs have ended. Extended Learning will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
This is the last week for extended learning for all classes.

EOG-Spirit Week and Dress Down for the Arts
Monday, May 20th - Fancy Hat Day-Hats off to the EOG
Tuesday, May 21st -Work backwards to Pass the EOG-Wear clothes backwards
Wednesday, May 22nd - Be “A Star” about the EOG-Hollywood Day (Wear your Bling, sunglasses)
Thursday, May 23rd –Tie your Focus to the EOG-Tie Dye Day (Shirt, scarf, shoes, etc)
Friday-Go Green with Archer Pride on the EOG-Green shirt,tie, shoes,wig, be creative

Monday May 28th –Sock it to the EOG & Get Wild About the Arts –Crazy Socks, animal prints, patterns

K-5 FIELD DAY 2013, June 4th
Rain Date: June 5th

There will be various activities throughout the day from about 8:20-12:30.

Who: ALL K-5 classes
Date: Tuesday, June 4th; Rain Date: Wed., June 5th
Time: 8:20-12:30
Volunteers: We need as many volunteers as possible (clean up, help at stations, refill water, food stations, etc.) complete the RSVP at the bottom and return to Hewitt.
Donations: Each grade level will have a specific item to bring. Please don’t bring fruit in until the morning of Field Day because we don’t have refrigerator space to keep it cold (Kindergarten can bring in cups at any time before Field Day)
Grade Level Donations: K-cups, 1st-apples (cut up), 2nd-Oranges (cut up), 3rd-Grapes, 4th-Strawberries, 5th-Watermelon (cut up)
Things students should bring: an outfit you are comfortable getting wet in (NO BATHING SUITS), sunscreen, hats, and dry change of clothes/shoes.

We will need several volunteers for the water/fruit station, dry activity stations, water game stations, refilling water buckets, and organizing and monitoring students/classes.
