Biomedical Technology is a specialized course designed to prepare potential health care workers for performance in technical or professional health careers. Emphasis is placed on understanding health care technology, biomedical ethics and legal principles, understanding patient's rights, use of technology in medicine, medical mathematics, forensic medicine, infectious diseases, organ transplants, cell biology, cancer and careers in biomedical technology and research. We will have three projects to help enhance learning of the content of this medical class. We will use cooperative learning and will work in teams during some of the classes. It is important that you participate in class to experience as much as possible to prepare you for your future.
