Allen began participating in Battle of the Books in the 2004-05 school year.  That year our Battle team came in first in the district!  Mrs. Cathy May, our media specialist, works with the Battle of the Books team.

National Junior Beta Club
Junior Beta Club recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages student involvement in school and community, fosters leadership skills, grants scholarships and provides settings for students to develop interpersonal relationship skills. Students must have earned a 3.5 grade point average or higher and must show positive conduct.  Ms. Dill sponsors this club.
Young Men of Allen

"Developing Young Men for the Future!"
An organization open to male students at Allen Middle School, YMA provides opportunities for life skills guidance and learning in order for the participants to gain a better understanding of their positive role in our school and society.
Mr. Ross sponsors this group.

AMS Viking Yearbook Committee
The Allen Middle School Yearbook Committee is a group of student volunteers dedicated to capturing in print, the heart and soul of our great school.  With energetic and careful planning, these students take candid as well as posed shots of various staff, students, events, and activities throughout the school year. Their final results can be viewed for posterity in the form of our yearbook that can be purchased in the spring.
Ms. Sharnetta Roseborough sponsors the Yearbook Committee.
Student Council

The Allen Middle School Student Council is an organization of importance at the school site and in the community. The Council strives to create and maintain an environment for intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical maturity of each individual. The organization promotes growth of citizenship and leadership which enhances unity, cooperation and a positive school spirit. Elections are held annually at the beginning of each school year. All candidates and members elected must have and maintain a "C" average or above in all classes, display good character and maintain satisfactory conduct.
