The electronics 2 syllabus has changed again this year, it will now consist of Digital Circuits only, this will give us more time to throughly study how digital circuits are utilized in everyday life, such as computers, cars, and the workspace. Electronics II Course Number: 7632 Hours of Instruction: 135 (block) This course covers electronic practices and fundamentals, roles of electronics in communications and industry, and career development based upon the Electronic Technicians Association (ETA) areas of Digital Electronics and is aligned to EM4 – Digital Basics certification. Topics include: Numbering Systems and Conversions, Block Diagrams-Schematics-Wiring Diagrams, Test Equipment & Measurements, Safety Precautions, and Theory of Digital Logic Functions and Circuitry. English language arts, mathematics, and science are reinforced. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include apprenticeship, cooperative education, internship, and job shadowing. SkillsUSA competitive events, community service, and leadership activities provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills through authentic experiences.
