National Honor Society |
The National Honor Society is an organization at Dudley High School which the very best 11th and 12th grade students may be invited to join as both an honor and opportunity for further service to their school and community. Invitations are extended to those students who have demonstrated a high level of achievement in the four pillars of the National Honor Society which are scholarships, service, leadership, and character. At Dudley, a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.7 is a threshold requirement for a student to be considered for memebership. Students must also demonstrate service to their school and community and offer examples of leadership. Prospective candidates will be required to demonstrate high character with recommendations from teachers and to others in the community. They will also participate in an interview with a member of the Faculty Council to demonstrate their qualifications for membership based on the four pillars. An annual induction is held. |
