09/24  Here we are...I am back with some feedback on the website. I will do my best to post HW everyday and write some comments on what is happening in the class when I have more time!

We are having a wonderfull time learning  with the audio CD and vewing some video related to our first Chapter.  Today we created a Grammar and Verb foldable that students will carry all year long. They need as usual to keep it in their binder and we will add on as we learn new grammar or verbs concepts.

Today I gave back results on the first vocabulary quiz. We had 2 shiny star students and many star students. I am very proud of my French 71 class. Bravo!!! HW due for Monday : get plenty of rest and bring your material !

09/13

Les devoirs (HW) due today Monday :textbook agreement back signed!

Students should have their alphabet foldable AND numbers foldable in their binder. They will use it for the French reading process every day.

Les Devoirs (HW) tomorrow 9/14 QUIZ on numbers and sounds - Students should be able to write each number with correct spelling.

09/09

I was absent yesterday for Professionnal Development with Guilford County School. Students received their French book and completed some assignments. Looking at the map of France they could get familiar with different city names and regions. I will try to have the same sub when I need to be absent, she did a fantastic job AND speaks French. Today we had out first <race for a star> activity. Students moved in group of 4 and had to listen to me saying a French word. They had to guess (using their ABC foldable) what could be the correct spelling. It was easy and hard at the same time. One group won the race and got a STAR. Please help your child to review French alphabet together with sounds Reviewing the lesson 5 to 10mn per day could help them to improve tremendously. A survey made by specialists prove that HW can improve 35% of knowledge. It is an important part of the learning process for your child !
