Volunteering is a great way to help those in need and give back to the community. Volunteering is a also a great way to explore your career interests, meet interesting people, build character, enhance your college applications, and have fun!
There are numerous ways to volunteer. From knitting blankets to shelving books or answering phones, there are many opportunities right here in Greensboro. Here are some links and other opportunities we are aware of:
1. The Volunteer Center of Greensboro: The title says it all! This organization exists to plug local people into local volunteer opportunities. Here is the link to the Teen page of their website -

3. United Way of Greater Greensboro:
United Way provides links and info about volunteer and leadership opportunities in the community.
4. Other Opportunities: Every so often, organizations contact us with local opportunities. The opportunities we are currently aware of are listed below:
A. BARK - Bringing Animals Relief and Kindness: Assemble or donate materials to build doghouses for dogs that have to stay outside during the cold winter months. For more info contact Libby Scandale at 706-7172 or scandae@gcsnc.com.
