Role of a Parent / Guardian

As partners with the student and faculty, parents recognize the importance of the following:

  1. Students are winners at AndrewsShow a sincere interest in the academic and extracurricular performance of your student.
  2. Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
  3. Establish and maintain openness in communication with the school.
  4. Take responsibility for the student's health, personal cleanliness, grooming, and outlined SMOD requirements.
  5. Assume responsibility in working with school personnel and community agencies in solving disciplinary issues.
  6. Develop and maintain your child's respect for law, other people, and the property of others.
  7. Help your child develop a responsibility for his/her own actions. Our students need your encouragement as well as ours. Together, we can provide them with the support they need to succeed.

Progress Reports & Report Card Schedule 2011-2012

PROGRESS REPORTS Each teacher will print out a detailed report of your child’s academic progress in the class. Progress reports are to be signed by the parent and returned to the teacher the next day.

 

REPORT CARDS are issued at the end of each quarter and show the final grade the student has earned for the quarter. Report cards issued after the 2nd and 4th quarter will contain the students final exam grade and the final grade for the semester. Parent Assistant - NCWISE Grades

Andrews' parents now have online access to their student's grades and attendance information. Parent Assistant is being implemented as part of the County's Strategic Plan to foster parent involvement.

The Parent Assistant module is now online. If you want access to your child's records, you must visit https://pa.gcsnc.com and sign up for an account to take advantage of this new feature. In order to get an account, you must have a valid email address. The documentation below contains links to several free email service providers.
