Congratulations to Schools Receiving State Recognition

On November 2, the annual State PIBS Recognition Program was held at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Exceptional Children's Conference. This year, 19 PIBS Schools in Guilford County received recognition.

The first level of recognition is the Green Ribbon level. To earn Green Ribbon status, a school must have the following things in place: completion of universal training, active administrative involvement, a PBS team that meets monthly, an identified in-school coach or team coordinator, a score of at least 80% on the School Evaluation Tool, and a score of at least 80% on the Universal section of the Implementation Inventory. The following schools were recognized as Green Ribbon Schools:

McLeansville Elementary
Vandalia Elementary
Lindley Elementary
Oak View Elementary
Falkener Elementary
Reedy Fork Elementary
General Greene Elementary
Alamance Elementary
Northwest Guilford High
Southwest Middle
Kiser Middle
Eastern Guilford High
Murphey Traditional Academy

The next level of recognition is the Model level. To earn Model status, a school must have the following things in place in addition to the criteria required for Green Ribbon status: completion of training at the Targeted level, a score of at least 90% on the School Evaluation Tool, and scores of at least 80% on both the Universal and Targeted sections of the Implementation Inventory. The following schools were recognized as Model Schools:

Fairview Elementary
Gibsonville Elementary
Johnson Street Global Studies
Oak Hill Elementary
Northeast Middle
Jackson Middle
