Our Family Theme...

We have been learning all about families. We've read stories & learned more about roles in a family. In our centers, the children will role play different family members & use language & problem solving skills to play out different scenarios.

Here the girls take on roles such as the mother or sister and pretend to do the laundry in our art center, which is now the laundry room. The girls are also working on skills such as sorting & strengthening fine motor skills as they hang out clothes to dry.

In the kitchen (dramatic play center) the "mother" takes a picture of her son as he goes off to school!

This student pretends to take a shower in our science center, which has become our bathroom.
