Hello Middle College at UNCG Families!  Get excited because we've "Got Talent" We've "Got Spirit" we've "Got Game" at the Middle College at UNCG.  Welcome to our TEAM !

My name is Angela Polk-Jones and I am your principal. This is my 20th year in education.  I was a 4th grade teacher at Millis Road Elementary in Jamestown for 8 years; a 3rd-5th grade exceptional children teacher for 5 years at Bluford Elementary, an assistant principal at Eastern Guilford Middle School in Gibsonville for 2 years, and an assistant principal at Aycock Middle School for 4 years. I also coached girls' basketball at Grimsley High School for 8 years before joining the women's basketball coaching staff at UNCG.

Prior to starting my educational career, I played basketball at UNCG where I hold several school records including all-time leading scorer and most points scored in a season. During my basketball career I was selected as academic all conference, all conference, all region and All-America and later inducted into UNCG's charter class Athletic Hall of Fame.  I was also the first student athlete, for any sport, to have their Jersey (#34) retired.

I look forward to collaborating with you, your child's teachers and advocates to make this year the best educational experience your child has ever had!  I believe that together, we can accomplish almost anything we set our minds and efforts towards.  Working as a team we can have a "winning season"!
