Petition for Diploma

In accordance with Senate Bill 202/S.L. 2009-451, effective July 1, 2009, former students who earned certificates from Guilford County Schools (GCS) may be eligible to receive a diploma due to a change in state law. Students who met all state and local graduation requirements except for passing the Computer Skills Test or Competency Test in Reading and Math can petition the district for a diploma. In accordance with state legislation, the tests were eliminated and are no longer required for graduation. Current students who have not passed the tests will be eligible to receive a diploma if they met all other requirements.
