The United Way of Greater Greensboro Donates Furniture to Conference Room

At its November 8, 2011 meeting, the Board of Education will recognize the United Way of Greater Greensboro for donating furniture for the district’s PTA conference room.

Keith Barsuhn, president and CEO, will accept the recognition on behalf of the organization. The donation included a large conference table, which better suits the space located at the main administrative building on Eugene Street.

The United Way of Greensboro and Guilford County Schools (GCS) have a long-standing partnership, and each year, GCS employees and students raise thousands of dollars for the organization’s annual campaign. The funds are allocated to nonprofits and local agencies that offer assistance to many GCS students and families.
