Aycock Middle School Dress for Success Program

Dear Ayock Middle Parents,

We are excited to announce the beginning of our new Dress for Success Program here at Aycock Middle School which will serve as an optional addition to our Standard Mode of Dress procedures.  We encourage our students to come to school in professional business attire on the dates specified below; it is our hope that our Dress for Success program will:

· Provide students with examples of standards of dress that lead to success in a variety of career fields. 

· Highlight the importance of appearance and demeanor when interacting with people in positions of authority. 

· Instill a sense of pride and self-worth.

Dress for Success Standards:

Long sleeve or short sleeved button down blouse or dress shirt with tie.

Professional suit jacket in black, navy, brown or grey (if possible).

Dress shoes

Dress socks

Dress pants with a belt or skirts in black, navy, brown or grey in solid colors or classic patterns.

Skirts should rest at the knee.

All clothing should be neatly ironed
