At its May 9, 2012 meeting, the Board of Education will recognize Lori Grubb, a volunteer at Sedalia Elementary, as the GCS Volunteer of the Month for May.
Step up is what Lori Grubbs is known for doing. She has made a great impact by stepping in and assisting with Triple-T, the student leadership organization at Sedalia Elementary.
She has been present at all the group’s events. Grubb has worked with the male steppers, taught the young ladies to walk for a fashion show, walked with the students in the holiday parade in support of breast cancer research, helped create holiday cards and contributed to the nonperishable food drive.
Mrs. Grubb is at Sedalia every day helping teachers in the classroom, supervising Triple-T in the afternoon as they prepare for activities and helping to create a webpage for Triple-T parents.
In the nomination for Grubb, it was stated that, “She is an amazing parent and friend who deserves this recognition for the many things she does for the students and school.”
As the GCS Volunteer of the Month, she will be presented with a $50 gift card, courtesy of Rice Collision Center. Grubb’s photo will hang at Sedalia Elementary and Rice Collision Center, as well as at the district’s central offices.
