Northwood Elementary will recognize a student from every class each month as IB Student-of-the-Month Program to provide incentives for those students who show positive behavior through the choices that they make. Each month, the students will learn about a new character trait that they will work on exhibiting each day at school. At the end of each month, each teacher will nominate one student who has shown that characteristic consistently throughout the month. The students chosen will be honored at an assembly and will receive a Northwood Elementary t-shirt and a trip to Northwood's "prize closet."At the end of the year, all students nominated throughout the year will be entered into a drawing for a brand new bicycle and helmet.In an effort to promote these attributes throughout our school, we will also be recognizing a staff member (nominated by their peers) each month who exhibits the characteristic as well. We hope to encourage positive attributes and build responsible citizens through this program. We appreciate all of the help and support our Northwood families provide in order to achieve this goal!
