Research studies show that the more you read, the better reader you become. Because reading is so important, at Sternberger, we expect all students to read (or be read to) at least 20 minutes every night. To encourage this nightly reading, we have a schoolwide reading incentive program. To learn more about the program, click on the How It Works link below.

Please note: All parts of the monthly reading log must be completed, and the reading log must be turned in on time in order for a student to receive credit. Thanks!

Roadmap 2 Summer Reading!

GCS has launched Roadmap 2 Reading!  Students are to read 20 minutes each day outside of school.  Each minute equals one mile, with the goal being for each student to read 3,114 miles – or the distance from Cape Hatteras, North Carolina to San Francisco, California – by January 2014 and for our school to have read an average of 3,114 minutes by that same time also.

To help students track their progress, Sternberger will have its own Roadmap 2 Summer Reading program this summer.
