Eligibility Requirements: all eligibility requirements are based on the previous semester information

  1. Academic = must pass 3 of the 4 core classes for a semester
  2. Attendance = cannot miss more than 13.5 days of school for a semester
  3. Age = a student may not participate on a 7th or 8th grade team if his or her 15th birthday comes on or before October 16th of the present school year
  4. Four Semester Rule = No student may be eligible to participate at the middle school level for a period lasting longer that four consecutive semesters beginning with the student's entry into 7th grade
  5. Medical Examination = a student must receive a medical examination once every 365 days by a duly licensed physician, nurse practioner, or physician's assistant.  A copy must be turned in with a history form signed by parent/guardian attached to coach or athletic director. Student Athletes and their parents must also fill out the concussion form after they read over the information together.
  6. Residence Requirement = a student is eligible to participate at the school to which he or she is assigned by the local Board of Education, within the administrative unit of residence.
A Student / Athlete must attend school for at least half of a school day to be considered in attendance. If a Student / Athlete is not at school for at least a half of a day they will not be permitted to participate on any team event on that same day. This includes practices and games. If a student athlete is suspended for at least half a day in school or is suspened out of school...They are not permitted to attend practice or games during the suspension period of time.
