A secret about me: I love to squish marshmallows.

I grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia. Visits to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens were a regular thing for me! :) After high school I came to North Carolina to go to Elon University. After I finished Elon, I went straight to UNC-Greensboro to get my Masters of Education. I completed my masters degree in May 2006. I love to be outside running, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, or just reading a book in the yard. I began teaching at the great General Greene in August of 2006. I taught fifth grade my first year and then moved to fourth grade. Our class mascot is the hedgehog because I had a pet hedgehog name Krispy in college. I am a personal trainer and work at the YMCA.

I married Trey in July of 2006. We met at Elon our sophomore year of college. Trey is a physical therapist. He loves helping people. We both have a passion for health and fitness! :) My students like to call him TREYMAN. He likes to come visit the classroom and sometimes come on fieldtrips.

After marriage and a year of teaching I was ready for a...DOG!!! I got Dodger the day after school got out in 2007. He is a big silver-gray Weimaraner! He is my baby!!! :) He loves to play with people and dogs. He enjoys running, walking, sleeping, and snuggling with his momma! :)

My parents live in Williamsburg, Virginia. My parents have three dogs. They are all German Short-haired Pointers! We love animals! My older brother Chris and his family live in Pennsylvania. They also have two dogs. At holidays, my parent's house is a zoo with six dogs! :)  Jacob is my younger brother. He attends Guilford College.
