Shirley Yount is the media specialist for Allen Jay Elementary.

Ms. Yount graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education K-6 and got her M.Ed. in Elementary Education K-6 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She taught elementary school in Guilford County for 16 years before going back to UNCG to get a Masters of Library and Information Studies degree to become a media specialist. This is her eighth year as Allen Jay Elementary's Media Specialist.
