Once, Twice, Three Times a Champion!!! Congratulations to the Northern Guilford Nighthawks on their 3-Peat State Championship! The Nighthawks defeated Charlotte Catholic 64-26 on Saturday, December 1st to claim their 3rd consecutive 3AA title. Austin Coltrane was named Offensive MVP and Austin Simmons was named Defensive MVP. TJ Logan set two new state records with 8 touch downs and 510 yards rushing and was named the game's MVP. Thank you to the band, cheerleaders, student body, faculty and all Nighthawk fans for their continued support. |

Collegiate Signing Day On November 14, three Nighthawk athletes signed Letters of Intent to continue their education and athletic participation at the collegiate level. Northern High School Selected as Official Special Olympics Unified Sports is an inclusive sports program combining equal number of Special Olympics athletes partnered with todays youth on teams for training and competition. Nighthawks Support Special Olympics The Nighthawks hosted their first Special Olympics basketball game on Wednesday, October 23. Thank you to the men's and women's basketball team, cheerleaders, band and Sports Marketing classes for their participation in this event. Many staff members also contributed in this fundraiser by coaching, donating baked items, announcing, setting up and making sure the event ran smoothly. Northern raised $360 to be donated to Special Olympics through a bake sale and half-court shot contest. Thank you to all who came out to support this great cause! |
