The College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) is an outstanding FREE resource for students and parents. You will find information on careers and colleges, including career interest inventories. Students may also use this site to apply to all North Carolina colleges/universities/community colleges. In addition, CFNC has free test prep and free scholarship searches. Register for the SAT www.collegeboard.com

Register for the ACT www.act.org

Complete the Profile (a preliminary financial aid form for seniors that is only required at some colleges) www.collegeboard.com

Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) after January 1 of your senior year  at www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will need a PIN number to complete the FAFSA. Apply for the PIN number at www.pin.ed.gov in late fall of your senior year.
