Pete Kashubara

Principal

Pete Kashubara has served with Guilford County Schools going on sixteen years and is entering his twenty first year in education. He was appointed Principal at Western for the 2010-2011 school year. He previously taught social studies at High Point Central and Grimsley, served as an Assistant Principal at Southeast Guilford High School and served as Principal of the Middle College at GTCC Greensboro, and at Weaver Academy for the Performing Arts and Advanced Technology.  

Mr. Kashubara earned a Bachelors of Arts in History with a minor in Education from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and a Master of School Administration from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina and a Specialist in Education Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  He is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in education leadership at UNCG.

His wife, Amysue and sons Zachary (student at Claxton Elementary) and Nicholas serve as an inspiration and a reminder of positive things that can happen in life.  Mr. Kashubara lives in Western’s district and has strong ties to Western’s community.
