I am delighted to serve as Hairston's principal. Although I am fairly new to North Carolina, I have taught in New Jersey, New York City and Guilford County.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Music Education at Rutgers University.  I did my MDiv at Duke University and my MSA at UNCG.  Prior to coming to Hairston, I was the principal at Sternberger Elementary.

I am a dedicated Duke fan and enjoy watching the games with my four sons Xavier, Zachary, Justice, and DJ.  Outside of school, I enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction, playing the piano and pretending to be a "rock star" while playing Guitar Hero with my boys!  

I am excited about the future of our Hairston family!
