Ms. Karen Williams came to GCS from Louisville, Kentucky.  She has worked as an educator for 12 years first as a middle school science and social studies teacher.  Then she became an assistant principal. In 2010, Ms. Williams became the principal of Northeast Guilford Middle school.  She received her BS in Chemistry from Bennett College and her MS in Chemistry from North Carolina A&T State University, where she also served as an adjunct instructor in the Chemistry Department.  Ms. Williams also earned a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has been with Guilford County Schools for the entire 12 years of her career in education. She was recognized as the 2005-2006 Allen Middle School Teacher of the Year.
