Parents, teachers and community members,
The GCS planning department is studying traffic congestion on NW School Road in front of the high school and middle school in hopes of finding a better solution during school drop-off and dismissal times.  We invite you to send any suggestions to this email link  northwest-traffic@gcsnc.com . Next year, Northwest Middle School will be one of the schools participating in the Personalized Achievement, Curriculum and Environment (P.A.C.E.)  Poject. This will provide all middle school students at NWMS with a tablet to use for educational purposes. Click here to read more.

Are you interested in being a part of the NWMS leadership team?  If so, now is your chance!  We have one vacancy that we need to fill for a parent representative.  Each school has an elected leadership team that consists of staff and parents.  The team meets once per month to discuss important issues in student achievement including the allocation of budget resources to meet our school improvement plan goals.  The meetings typically begin at 4:15 on the first Tuesday of the month and may last 1-2 hours.  If you are interested, or know someone who would do a great job, please send your name, or theirs, to my email address thomaer@gcsnc.com with your contact information.  Nominations must be received by May 28th.
