Guilford County Schools wants to make sure all our students are receiving the best education possible. In order to evaluate this, most students take exams at the end of the school year. This year, all middle school students will take the traditional End-of-Grade, or EOG, tests in reading and math. Eighth- graders will also take a science EOG.
Our EOGs will take place week of May 28.
Eighth-graders who take Algebra I will also take an End-of-Course test on June 4.
Some students will also take Common Exams, which measure a student’s knowledge in courses that are not covered by EOGs. Students may take a Common Exam in science, social studies, or both.
