Welcome to the Academy at Central!

The Academy at Central is a Guilford County School (GCS) Academy located on the campus of High Point Central High School in High Point, North Carolina. The Academy offers small class sizes (all classes are under twenty students), and the ability to finish high school in three years. The senior year is spent at GTCC taking college classes with all expenses covered by GCS. Two pathways are offered: Medical Careers and Medical IT. Students take rigorous and relevant classes which provide them with marketable skills and employment opportunities. Both programs offer certification opportunities where students can pass industry standard certification exams and earn college credit.
