Welcome to Mrs. Smalley's Math class.

It is hard to believe we are already into the second quarter. Please make sure you have mastered basic computation including comfortably knowing your multiplication tables and your integer rules.

For the next few weeks we are starting our Algebra Unit learning how to simplify, evaluate and solve equations and inequalities.

Study Island assignments have been assigned for the students to practice at home the skills and math concepts taught in class. Your student can log onto study island at: www.studyisland.com  from any computer. Please encourage your student to utilize this great tool at home.

The study of probability helps us figure out the likelihood of something happening. For instance, when you roll a pair of dice, you might ask how likely you are to roll a seven. In math, we call the "something happening" an "event."
