Media Musings

Another busy year is ahead.   I  am teaching 16 classes weekly and working with 3 tutoring groups. I am seeing the third grade classes on a flexible schedule and integrating with their science units.  Around 580 titles were added to the collection last year, many of them geared toward our advanced readers in 4th and 5th grades.  As a result, our daily circulation is around 650 books.  I could never check out, check in and shelve so many titles without the help of my volunteers.  We will hold two book fairs this year and  the Reading Incentive Committee will work to label the remaining easy titles that are Accelerated Readers.
