Welcome to Ms. Thompson's Second Grade Website

 It is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your child to Second Grade!!  

About Me:

I  have taught fourth grade and second grade.  This year begins my 20th year teaching.  I graduated from Appalachian State University in 1993. I received my Masters degree in Reading at N.C. A&T State University in 1998.  My husband and I have 2 sons Reid (13) and Ryan (11). I grew up in Brown Summit and live in the Northern community.  I am proud to teach at Northern Elementary.

 Listed below are some important things for your information.

1. The children will have a snack time during the day.  Please provide your child with his/her own snack each day. Snack time is 9:20.

2. Our classroom sometimes gets very cool, so you might want to send a sweater or sweatshirt for your child to keep in his/her cubby.

3.  Specials are from 8:00-8:40 every day.  This year they will not have the
same special on the same day every week. 

4. Our lunch time is from 11:25-11:50.
