Weekly parent letters that contain the homework and content schedule, important events and any additional information will be sent every Friday via email. Important Reminders:

~ Snack- In the morning between our math and reading lessons students will have the opportunity to have a snack if they choose to bring one for themselves. This is optional. I do ask that if they would like to bring a snack please make sure that it is healthy.

~Data Notebooks- Every Tuesday, I will  send home your child's data notebook with student work, tests, and important papers that have been graded. They will be responsible for getting their notebook checked over by the parent and signed on the parent signature page.

~ Purple Nighthawk Folders-Students can use these daily to take home any papers that they may receive throughout the week that need to go home.

~Planners- I will check your child's planner daily. If they had a great day, they will have a sticker or stamp mark. If they had difficulty during the day, or received a mark on the clip board for any reason, I will write a brief note in the planner to keep you updated. Also, if you ever need to write a small note to me you can do so here as well. Please check your child's planner daily to stay in communication with information written down.

~Student of the Week- Every week I will continue to select a child based on their good behavior, responsibility, organization, class participation, and showing all character traits of the nighthawk. The acronyms for HAWK are as follows:

Have fun learning

Always do your best

Work together

Keep a positive attitude

Show respect for differences
