We are working very hard this year to implement the Common Core Curriculum.  Please check your child's planner each week for our classroom newsletter.  Daily behavior and notes are also included in the planner.

It is vital that your child read each night to practice the skills we are learning in class.  We have been learning several comprehension strategies to help your child stay connected with the text.  Encourage your child to use these strategies as they read at home. 

The Reading Counts goal for the second quarter is 16 points.

Students are practicing math facts.  Our third grade goal is to memorize the basic facts 0-12.  Students will earn a X badge when they can solve 100 facts in 5 minutes.

Study Island is an excellent tool for the children to use at home to review math and reading skills.  Students know their username and password.
